Sanitation and City Services Update:
We are resuming our normal sanitation schedule tomorrow, Monday, February 2, 2026. If your regular pickup day is Monday, we will be on your route.
City Hall, Baker Community Center, and other city administrative offices will be open tomorrow on modified hours from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Helpful Sanitation Guidance:
To help keep our crews safe on icy streets, we are primarily using our automated one-armed bandit truck. This allows a single operator to service carts without extended time spent walking at the curb.
To help us do this safely and efficiently, please place your cart on the grassy area between the curb and sidewalk, with the opening facing the street. 
Make sure carts are clear of obstructions and not placed behind vehicles parked on the road so crews can access them. If you do not feel safe walking to the curb, please do not put your cart out. Your safety comes first. We will get you caught up as conditions continue to improve. I promise.
We ask for a little grace and patience as our sanitation teams work through remaining delays and get fully caught up day by day. Crews will collect waste placed inside carts, but we ask that you limit extra items when possible for our teams’ sake.
